James "Jimmy" ("Lil' Buddy") Middleton

MIDDLETON, James “Jimmy”, “Lil’ Buddy” – 78 of Sandston, VA made his final departure, Monday, January 30, 2023. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clynard and Joy Middleton; and his brother, Jerry Middleton. He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Libby; his children, Greg (Beth) and Brad; a granddaughter, Mallory; his twin sister, Joyce Daniel, and his sister, JoAnn Middleton. Jimmy served as a pilot for over 25 years. He enjoyed fishing and working on his many boats. He always had plenty of jokes to share and loved to make people laugh. He was a dedicated member and resident comedian of Sandston Baptist Church, where he often volunteered his time to church projects. The family will receive friends from 3 – 6 pm, Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at Monaghan Funeral Home, 7300 Creighton Parkway, Mechanicsville, VA 23111. A funeral Service will be held at 1:30 pm, Thursday, February 9, 2023, at Sandston Baptist Church, 100 W. Williamsburg Rd., Sandston, VA 23150. Interment will follow at Washington Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to the church.
