Ilona (Hayes) Lapaglia

LAPAGLIA, Ilona H., 69, of Mechanicsville, VA passed away on, Monday, March 11, 2024. She is preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Elise Hayes; and her nephew, Adam. She was survived by her husband of 46 years, Sal LaPaglia; her brother, Robert Hayes; her sister-in-law, Rosemary Hayes; and her grandson, Mason. Ilona was a Bingo Caller at Mechanicsville Little League and VFW Post 9808 for over 25 years. Ilona was a member of the Lady’s Auxiliary for the VFW. Spending time with Mason and taking Rosemary out to dinner were some of Ilona’s favorite activities. She also loved to play Bingo and the slots. Ilona enjoyed traveling with Sal for her job to places like the Florida Keys, Quebec, Canada, and San Francisco. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 PM on March 23, 2024 at VFW Post 9808, 7168 Flag Ln, Mechanicsville, VA, 23111. There will be a memorial service following the visitation starting at 2 PM.
