Grayson William Babbs

BABBS, Grayson William, 19, of Mechanicsville, VA departed this life, February 27, 2021. To know Grayson was to love Grayson, his fiercely competitive nature, his infectious smile, and his big tender heart. Grayson was known for his love of sports especially Football and Basketball, but he was also socially aware and had begun working on a non-profit that would help feed the homeless in downtown Richmond. He loved to read and if he knew you were interested, would talk endlessly about science, history and what he thought people could do to make a change. Some of you may know of his love of Rapping and his passion for creating music - a talent that he was immensely proud off. He loved performing and the joy that it bought to his family and friends. Grayson will now be watching over his mom and dad, Preston and Tammy Babbs; his beloved sister and his heart, Logan Babbs; grandparents, James and Thelma Allen; grandmother, Doris Babbs; aunt, Robin Babbs (Kyle); aunt, Stephanie Baldwin (William); aunt, Sharon (who will be greeting him in heaven), uncle, Eric Allen; Godmother, Linda Wright; mentor, Joe Mattox Jr. (Octavia); and a host of cousins and friends. He will also forever be by the side of the love of his life, Kaitlyn Bibey. The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 11, 2021, at Monaghan Funeral Home 7300 Creighton Parkway Mechanicsville, VA 2311, from 5pm-7pm where a Celebration of life and a time of reflection will be held promptly at 7pm.
