Gordon Steve "Pop" Maham

MAHAM, Gordon Steve “Pop” – 74 of Sandston, VA peacefully passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2022.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence, and Haven Maham; a brother, Bart Maham; and his nephew, Will Maham. He is survived by his beloved wife of 37 years, Sue Maham; two daughters, Amy Irvin (fiancé, Kyle Bickling), and Sarah Brown (Stu); six grandchildren, Macie, Hannah, Logan, Bailey, Grace, and Caroline; as well as four bonus grandchildren, Kole, Delaney, Luke, and Josie; a brother, Bill Maham (Roxane); sister, Geraldine McNamara (Gary); and numerous nieces and nephews. Gordon proudly served in the US Navy during Vietnam. He was a long-time employee of Hauni Richmond. Prior to his failing health, he enjoyed playing golf. “Pop” loved to travel, especially cruising with his beautiful wife. He was a loving and devoted family man and cherished the time he spent with his children and grandchildren. He will be greatly missed. The family will receive friends from 2- 6 pm, Sunday, November 27, 2022, at Monaghan Funeral Home, 7300 Creighton Pkwy, Mechanicsville, VA 23111. A Memorial service will be held at 11 am, Monday, November 28, 2022, at Sandston Baptist Church, 100 W. Williamsburg Rd, Sandston, VA 23150. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Lonesome Dove Equestrian Center @ ldequestrian.com to help disabled veterans or Hospice of the Piedmont @ hopva.org.
