George Stanley Barker, III

BARKER, George Stanley, III (Chip), 67, much loved and taken too soon on October 30, 2020. He is preceded in death by his parents George & Ruth Barker.  Chip is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Patty, and two children, Stacy Cruise (David); Michael Barker (Chrissy), and grandchildren Hallie Cruise, Maddox Barker and Jaiden Collier; and sister Cindy Hepper (Jimmy).  Chip retired from a long career as a commercial construction project manager in 2017.  He loved surfing, wood working, and motorcycle trail riding, he spent much time on the trails around he and Patty’s King William home.  He truly loved the ocean and beach where many memorable vacations were spent and one of his favorite things was days spent boating at Lake Anna.  Chip will be remembered as a man with great patience and a “can do” attitude. A memorial service will be held at 4 P.M. on Thursday, November 5, 2020 at Monaghan Funeral Home, 7300 Creighton Pkwy, Mechanicsville, VA 23111. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Bon Secours Health Care Foundation 5875 Bremo  Rd.  Richmond, Va. 23226.
