Fugate G. "Jerry" Bailey

BAILEY, Sr., Fugate G. “Jerry” – 78 of Henrico, VA peacefully went to be with the Lord surrounded by his loving family, on Tuesday, May 23, 2023. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leslie and Margaret Bailey; and a brother, Thomas Bailey. He is survived by his children, Bryan Bailey (Valerie), Kelli Mallinger (Dean), Allison Kelley (Andrew), and Fugate “Bubba” Bailey, Jr. (Lori); nine grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; a brother, Scott Bailey (Jane); and many other relatives and friends. Jerry proudly served his country in the US Army and Air Force and retired from the Internal Revenue Service. He was a talented artist and writer. He was a loving and devoted father and grandfather and loved being surrounded by his family. He enjoyed cooking, baking, and proudly hosted all the holiday family gatherings. The family will receive friends from 5 – 8 pm, Thursday, June 1, 2023, at Monaghan Funeral Home, 7300 Creighton Pkwy., Mechanicsville, VA 23111, where a funeral service will be held at 1 pm, Friday, June 2, 2023.
