VINCENT, Jr., Frederick Curtis “Curt” – 48 of Mechanicsville, VA gained his heavenly wings on Tuesday, December 10, 2024. He was greeted in heaven by his father, Frederick “Fritz” Vincent, Sr. Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 23 years, Shari Mayr Vincent; five children, Kaley Elizabeth, Abigail “Abby” Lee, Curtis Jacob “C.J.”, Briana Renae, and Emma Marie Vincent; his mother, Mary Lee Wilkinson (Rod); step-mother, Janie Vincent; his siblings, Laura “Peach” Carney (Wayne), Tina Hoover (Randy), Phillip Lawson, and Skye Butler (Leon); and many other relatives and friends. Curt graduated from Westwood High School in Port St. Lucie Florida. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Wingate University in North Carolina before graduating with his Ph. D from VCU School of Pharmacy. He played football in high school and college and was a member of The Kappa Alpha Order. He enjoyed fishing, cooking, and coaching softball. Curt was an avid 49ers, Mets, and Miami Hurricanes fan. He was a loving and dedicated husband and father. Curt cherished his family above all else. He loved people and was a mentor to many. He was always known for his intelligence and quick wit. He was a provider, hard worker, and a lover of bad dad jokes. Curt loved the water, be it the beach, lake, or river. His kind heart and generous nature will be greatly missed. The family will receive friends from 5 – 8 pm, Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at Monaghan Funeral Home, 7300 Creighton Pkwy., Mechanicsville, VA 23111. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 am, Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at the Catholic Church of the Redeemer, 8275 Meadowbridge Rd., Mechanicsville, VA 23116. In lieu of flowers, donations in his honor can be made to the American Heart Association.
