KAESTNER, Frank J.- 77 of Mechanicsville, VA, departed this life on Friday, February 6, 2026. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Rose Kaestner; and his brother, Joe Kaestner. He is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Diane W. Kaestner; his daughter, Courtney Kaestner-Baltz (Corey); three grandchildren, Adam Baltz, Alex Kaestner, and Dylan Baltz; his nephews, Sam and Mike Kaestner; and many other relatives, friends, and fellow chimney sweeps all over the world.
Frank proudly served his country in the US Air Force. He was the owner of Neat Sweep Chimney Sweeps and Containers for over 50 years. He trained chimney sweeps all over the world. He was a proud pilot and owned several planes until his medical problems prevented him from flying anymore. He enjoyed swimming in his backyard pool as well as in the ocean. He loved to travel. Frank had a wonderful sense of humor and always had plenty of jokes and stories to share. He was a loving and devoted husband; our rock and sometimes pain-in-the-butt father; and a doting and fun “Papa”. He cherished his family and worked hard to provide for them. He will be greatly missed.
The family will receive friends on Friday, February 13, 2026, from 5 – 8 pm, at Monaghan Funeral Home, 7300 Creighton Parkway, Mechanicsville, VA 23111, with a funeral service to be held at 11 am, on Saturday, February 14, 2026. Interment will follow at Hollywood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to the Salvation Army or the charity of your choice.
