Faye C. Hicks

HICKS, Faye C. - 81, of Mechanicsville, VA, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 21, 2023. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil F. Hicks, Jr., and her parents, Herbert, and Lola Clark. She is survived by her son, Cecil F. Hicks, III (Lisa); daughter, Melissa Skelton; grandchildren, Tiffany, Matthew, and Heather Skelton, Noah Allen; and her Chihuahuas, Bowser and Candy. Faye was born in Callao, VA in the Northern Neck and moved to Middlesex County, VA, where she graduated from Middlesex High School. After marrying her husband, they opened an antique store in Tappahannock before relocating to Mechanicsville. Faye and Cecil opened Faye’s Auction at the corner of Atlee Road and Meadowbridge Road in Mechanicsville and Cecil Hicks Furniture Store on Broad Street in Richmond. You could often find her watching QVC and loving her dogs. Faye  also loved her church and bible study group the “Bon-Bon’s”, as well as listening to all types of music. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at Monaghan Funeral Home, 7300 Creighton Pkwy., Mechanicsville, VA 23111.
