CLAUSING, Edith “Edie” Beasley, 65 of Mechanicsville, VA departed this life on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Camden Thomas Beasley Jr. and Jane Allen Beasley; and her sister, Rebecca “Becky” Beasley. She is survived by her sons, Timothy Clausing Jr, Derek Clausing, and Stephen Clausing; her daughter, Christina Hill (Jarod Hill); and her grandson, Carter Kaupp. Edie was born in Ashland, Kentucky, and obtained her master’s degree in special education at Morehead State University. Her decades of teaching experience truly encapsulated her kind spirit and her constant willingness to help others. She was a selfless person with a drive to spread kindness wherever she went. Whether it be her children, family, friends, or students, her unconditional love and support for others was experienced by everyone she met. She loved spending time in her garden, going to the beach, and being with her family. She will truly be missed by all who loved her. Friends can gather with family for a visitation at Monaghan Funeral Home, 7300 Creighton Pkwy., Mechanicsville, VA 23111, on Saturday, September 28th, 2024, from 2 to 5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Autism Speaks, or a charity of your choice.
