Edith LaVerne Harris Cauthorne, 84, of Glen Allen, VA, peacefully entered the presence of her Lord on Saturday, February 14, 2026. A woman of deep faith and fierce devotion, LaVerne—affectionately known as “My-ya” or “Grandma C”—built a life centered on the family she cherished. She was the cornerstone of her household, offering unwavering support to her parents in their final years and finding her greatest joy in every moment spent with her sons, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Beyond her family, she was a woman of unique and vibrant interests. She found beauty in lighthouses and the shore, had a spirited appreciation for '80s hairbands, and always held a special fondness for vintage Trans Ams. Professionally, she was a dedicated Insurance Assistant Underwriter, retiring from Life of Virginia after 28 years of loyal service. She was also a longtime, faithful member of the Church of Christ in Ashland, VA. She is reunited in heaven with her beloved husband, William J. Cauthorne; her parents, James and Virgie Harris; her son, Kevin Cauthorne; and her aunt, Ivery Walton. Her legacy lives on through her sons, Ted (Madalyn), Ricky (Lisa), and Keith Cauthorne; her sister, Catherine Kiiffner; her grandchildren, Andrew (Carrie), Berkley (Catherine), and Bryan; her great-granddaughters, Charlotte and Carter; and nephew, Clifton; nieces, Stephanie and Pam; and numerous other relatives and dear friends. Family and friends are invited to a Graveside Service at 10:00 AM on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at Calvary Christian Church, 14196 Ashland Rd, Glen Allen, VA. In honor of her memory, the family suggests donations to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer’s Association
