Edgar "Roland" Waters

WATERS, Edgar "Roland", 79, of Henrico, Virginia, went to be with the Lord on May 29th, 2025.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar Waters Jr. and Stella Waters (née Garrett). He is survived by his wife Beverly Waters (née Morgan); sons Michael Waters (Caitlin), Matthew Waters (Jenny), and Morgan Waters; grandson Rowan Waters; and brother Kenneth Waters (Linda).

Known as Roland by those who knew and loved him, Roland was born on February 27th, 1946 in Henrico, Virginia. He worked in the city of Richmond as a bricklayer before starting his own business as a painter.

He loved God and was a longtime member of Fairmount Christian Church, where he had many friends and was an active participant in church activities and his Sunday bible study group.

He loved listening to bluegrass and gospel music and watching NASCAR races on TV.

There will be a viewing at 2pm and a service immediately following at 3pm, on Saturday June 14th, 2025, at Fairmount Christian Church, 6502 Creighton Road Mechanicsville VA 23111. All are welcome to attend.
