Dorothy "Dottie" Fuller Obituary

Dorothy “Dottie” M. Fuller, 95, died on January 22, 2024, at her daughter’s home in Richmond, VA.  She was born August 29, 1928, in Olean, NY, the daughter of Michael A. and Catherine A. (Sadley) Bryski.  Dottie graduated from Union-Endicott High School, Class of 1946, where she enjoyed being a member of the girls’ basketball team.  After graduation, she married Gerald Lee Fuller on August 30, 1947.  They were married for 68 years before Gerry passed away in 2015.

Dottie worked at Hamlin’s Drug Store, then spent 47 years working at the Corner Drug Store in Endicott, NY.  She grew up as a member of St. Casimir Catholic (Polish) Church where she was a member of their Polish dance team and later attended St. Ambrose Catholic Church.  When not working she could be found antiquing across the Southern Tier with her girlfriends once a week. Dottie was also a 34-year breast cancer survivor, which led to a passion for supporting breast cancer-related causes for many years.

Since 2015 Dottie has lived in Richmond, VA with the Lemcke family, enjoying spending time at her great-grandchildren’s sporting events, musical performances, and school activities.  After every family gathering, she would say, “This is so nice that I still get to do these things.”

In addition to her parents and loving husband, she was predeceased by her 2 brothers, Martin, and Stanley Bryski and 2 sisters, Sophia (Sue) Porzucek, and Sister Mary Arnold – Felician Sister (Helen Bryski).  She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Lee Weaver (Paul) and Jeanette Marie Lemcke (Michael); 11 grandchildren, Elizabeth (Peter), Cade (Karen), Jeremiah (Chrissy), Belle Dodson, Kylie (Ben), Tyler (Lauren), Alyssa (Michel), Britain (Kristen), Logan (Rachel), Andrew (Aslynn), Keegan (Dawn), David Paul; 18 great-grandchildren, Jean Claudine, Adam, Stephanie, Paige, Addison, Isabelle, Cohen, Kella, Colton, Colten, Caris, Marlow, Johnny Clementine, Isla, Corbin, Maris, Rowan, and Dorothy; 2 great-great-grandchildren, Jasmine, and Phoenix; as well as many nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Suzanne Porzucek Bettiker, and her goddaughter, Dianne Weber Zibbon.

A visitation and service of remembrance will be held at 11 am, on Monday, January 29, 2024, at Monaghan Funeral Home, 7300 Creighton Pkwy., Mechanicsville, VA.  The service will be live-streamed.
