WILLIAMS, Doris “Lynn” – 70 of Mechanicsville, VA went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, August 6, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Nancy Williams, and a great-nephew, Mason Garrett Kirby. She is survived by her sister, Debra Williams Smith, niece, Kimberly B. Kirby (Trey); nephew, Gregory W. Boyette (Teresa); great-niece, Summer Kirby; two great-nephews, Ty, and Lane Boyette; three aunts, Beverly Wilson, Judy Elliott, and Betty Atkinson (Richard); and many cousins and friends. Lynn was a gentle, kind, loving, and giving person, who would do anything to help a friend. Growing up she enjoyed playing softball, basketball, and the drums. She loved Mountain Dew, music, and the great outdoors. She enjoyed staring at the moon and stars and taking in the majesty of God’s creation. Lynn had a passion for Corvettes and had great fun sporting around in hers. She loved her family and cherished the times she shared with them. She will be greatly missed by all those who had the pleasure of getting to know her. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, August 15, 2024, at Signal Hill Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Mason Garrett Kirby Scholarship, through Hanover Education Foundation.
