Doris Enroughty age 100. Born during the toughest of times. With no complaint, she simply carried on through the good and the bad. Went to be with the Lord, on July 26, 2024. She was predeceased by her parents, Sadie Moss Hardiman, and John W. Hardiman, and stepmother, Mazie Hardiman, as well as her husband, Floyd Wayne Enroughty; her beloved son, Thomas W. Throckmorton; sister, Pamela Hardiman; brother, John W. Hardiman; and special nephew, Brian Thomas.
She is survived by her daughter, Pamela E. Richardson; son-in-law, Walker Richardson; grandson, Chris Throckmorton; daughter-in-law, Jane Throckmorton; sister, Ann Hardiman Thomas; nieces, Sharon Thomas O'Donnell, and Cheryl Thomas Russell; as well as many other cherished family members and friends, especially friends of her children that have known her for these many years and to the person that always brought a smile to her face and who she remembered until the end, many thanks to Beth for her life long friendship.
Doris also had many cherished furry friends who have gone before her, including Mimi the Chihuahua who passed only two weeks before. Doris was a long-time member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, finding much joy in the activities that supported the church, particularly outreach. She always appreciated the continued support and prayers of the Pastoral Care Team and especially the time spent with her dear friend Mike Gephart.
Doris was especially fortunate to have a second church family at St. Albans Anglican Catholic Church. Many thanks to Father Thierry for his caring and constant support.
Many thanks to those who have helped her on her journey. She was blessed to have so many caring people in her life, including, Irene, Susan, Suzanne, and Sharon. Over the years she cared for many people and as painful as it is to say was most often "right" when it came to family disagreements. Family First. Even as she lost some of her cognitive ability the things that concerned her most were memories of children. She never missed a sporting event that was anywhere within her reach, because watching her son on the field playing or coaching was her greatest joy.
Rest In Peace, Doris.
