Diane Lynn (Sharp) Maxwell

MAXWELL, Diane S., 72 of Mechanicsville, VA, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 11, 2026. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 34 years, Gillis Maxwell; her mother, Blanche Pachilis; her sister, Shirley Cookus; and her grandson, Holden Stark. She is survived by her devoted daughters, Rebecca Stark (Stephan) and Mary Maxwell (Rusty); five grandchildren, Jazmine, Mina, Mackenzie, Hayden, and Destiny; two brothers, Van Sharp and Earl Pachilis (Donna); and many other relatives and friends. Diane was a strong and brave woman who fought many battles with cancer to the very end. She will be greatly missed. The family will receive friends from 11 am to 1:00 pm, on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Monaghan Funeral Home, 7300 Creighton Parkway, Mechanicsville, VA 23111, with a funeral service immediately following at 1:00 pm. Interment will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, March 30, 2026, at Signal Hill Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to ASK, Assisting Kids with Cancer at the VCU Children’s Hospital.
