Debbie Davis Obituary

Debbie Carroll Davis, 58, reunited with her beloved husband and her Lord in Heaven on Friday, October 10, 2025. She was born on the U.S. Naval Base in Stuttgart, Germany, on September 04, 1967. Raised in Virginia Beach, she lived most of her adult life in Newtown, Virginia. She was a cherished daughter, sister, wife, aunt, great-aunt, and dog mom. Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, Delmar and Patricia Carroll; and her husband of 34 years, Donald Davis. She is survived by her brother, Brett Carroll; aunt, Joyce Carroll (Brian); nephew, Adam Carroll (Courtney); niece, Brittany Carroll; and great-niece, Charlotte Carroll. Debbie, along with her late husband Don, treasured life and all the wonders that came with it. Debbie, especially, viewed her life as a mission field to love others fiercely, spread kindness and positivity, and hold on to hope for a better world. She was passionate about helping others, often volunteering at local homeless shelters, providing food and a supportive shoulder to those in need. Along with Debbie’s passion for all things Carolina Panthers, she was an avid animal lover, travel enthusiast, board-game expert, and homemaker. Some of her favorite stories to tell were memories from her travels all around the country with her husband. Her family fondly remembers spending endless hours at the dining table playing a variety of fun cards and strategy games - laughing at and with each other throughout the night. Others who knew her remember and marvel at Debbie’s quiet strength and resilience, always brightening your day with a smile - no matter what hardship she faced. Particularly in her continual optimism through recently beating breast cancer not once, but twice. Although Debbie’s physical presence no longer graces our lives, her spirit will continue to inspire and uplift us. May her memory be a blessing, and may we carry forth her legacy of love and compassion in all that we do. You were taken much too soon, dear Debbie, but as you finally get to spend eternity in God’s perfect love, your light will forever shine brightly in our hearts. Until we meet again. Debbie’s family will be hosting a Celebration of Life on Sunday, November 02, 2025, from 2:00 - 4:00 pm for all who knew her to come and honor her at Monaghan Funeral Home, 7300 Creighton Pkwy, Mechanicsville, Virginia. 23111. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that any donations go towards spreading Debbie’s passion for helping animals. Please donate to any local animal shelter near you in her honor.
