Dawn Kathleen (Berry) Barnette

BARNETTE, Dawn Berry- 52, peacefully passed away at home on May 6, 2024. She was preceded in death by her mother, Susan Womack; father, George Berry; brother, Matthew Berry; and grandfather, Gary Rodenhizer. She is survived by her husband, Harry Barnette; her sons, Chase Barnette, and Colton Barnette (Tayler Jackson), sister, Jamie Womack-Nines; grandmother, Esther Rodenhizer; aunt and uncle, Trish, and Sam Rodenhizer; uncle, Jim Berry; nephew, Mateo Berry; mother-in-law, Cherry Francis; and sister-in-law, Mary Barnette. Dawn loved working in her flower beds. She was a big Jeff Gordon fan and loved watching Dallas Cowboys football. Her greatest love was the time spent with her beloved family. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother and will be greatly missed. The family will receive friends, on Thursday, May 9, 2024, from 6 – 8 pm, at Monaghan Funeral Home, 7300 Creighton Pkwy., Mechanicsville, VA 23111. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 pm, Friday, May 10, 2024, at Hanover Memorial Park.
