PERE, Cynthia Darlene peacefully passed away at home surrounded by her family on August 5, 2024, after a long, hard-fought battle with cancer. Left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband of 39 years, Bernie; her children, Tricia and Denny; and her grandchildren, Sara, Daniel, John, and Timmy. Cynthia was full of love, laughter, and resilience. She touched the lives of all those who were blessed to know her. She was a loving woman, who would do anything for her family, especially her fur babies. Her love for animals was heartwarming and absolute. Her dogs were always adopted through animal abuse rescues. Her love of journaling and poetry left us with the beautiful gifts of her thoughts and poetry, that we will treasure forever in our memories. She had such a loving, genuine heart and always had an answer for everything. She stood by her family through many of our life’s journeys, regardless of the circumstances. Her devoted husband Bernie was her best friend and the best caretaker in the world. He stayed lovingly and consistently by her side until the end. Together they enjoyed family gatherings, spending time with their fur babies, and camping. To commemorate her beautiful journey through this world and to celebrate the love she so openly shared with everyone, a private celebration of life will be held in her honor with only close family and friends. In lieu of flowers, she asked that donations be sent to the FRIENDS OF KING WILLIAM ANIMAL SHELTER @ www.FoKWAnimalShelter.org or mailed to King William Animal Shelter at P.O. Box 454, Aylett, VA 23009. The family is forever grateful for the wonderful care, support and help that Hospice of Virginia provided for them during this very difficult time.
