Clovis Wayne Poore began his new life in his Heavenly home on March 12, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Robert Poore Sr. and Joan Poore Bates; and two brothers, Stanley Poore and Morris Silcox. He is survived by his wife, Kim Poore; daughter, Robin Poore Richel; his sons, Nathan Poore, Clovis Wayne Holt, Philip Holt, and Jonathan Madison; brother and sister-in-law, Charles (Bobby) and Mary Poore, as well as all of their families. Clovis dearly loved his grandchildren and looked forward to his phone calls to “Bod” (as he called his brother). He always had a pot of coffee brewing, westerns or mystery movies on, and wore his favorite sweats or jeans, and novelty t-shirts. He loved feeding and watching birds, golf, listening to The Beatles, talking politics, and playing drums in a band with his good friend and pastor, Rocky Angone. Clovis disliked “dressing up,” as he said. He will be greatly missed by family and friends. He often talked about his assurance of Heaven’s glory. He is now without pain and enjoying full healing. Services will be held graveside at Greenwood Memorial Gardens on Patterson Ave. Richmond, Va. Friday, March 21, at 11:00 am. Dress casually to honor his wishes for comfort! A social gathering will follow at 11800 Winterhaven Court, Midlothian, VA 23112.
