TURESKI, Catherine Rhymes, 74, went to be with the Lord on March 7, 2025. She is preceded in death by her parents, William Rhymes and Margaret Rhymes; and her sister, Mary Clogin. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Tureski; her daughters, Kimberly Bell (Joe) and Mary-Catherine Sheridan (David); her grandchildren, Ryan Bell, Ethan Bell, Elizabeth Jones, Curtis Sheridan, Carter Sheridan, and Caitlyn Sheridan; and her beloved dogs, Sidney and Sammy. Family was always the most important aspect of Cathie’s life—she adored any time she got to spend with her children and grandchildren, especially during the Christmas and Easter holiday seasons when she would elegantly decorate the house. Cathie was a peaceful and loving soul with an extremely strong belief in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Compassionate, generous and sympathetic, she would always help in whatever way she could. She absolutely loved animals, whether it be her two beloved dogs or watching rabbits, squirrels, deer, woodpeckers, blue birds, or hummingbirds in the back yard. She enjoyed interior decorating, art, tea sets, Polish pottery, needle point, watercolor painting and especially bargain shopping at a local thrift store. A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, April 23rd, 2025 at Corinth United Methodist, 23 W Williamsburg Rd, Sandston, VA 23150. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America or American Heart Association in Catherine's name.
