Catherine Claudine (Pace) Evans

EVANS, Catherine Pace, 78, of Mechanicsville, VA was called home to be with the Lord, after passing peacefully away at home on July 18, 2018. She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond A. Pace, Sr. and Mabel R. Pace and a sister, Evelyn Pace McDonald. Catherine is survived by her Devoted husband of 59 years, Basil “Buddy” Evans, Jr.; son, Brian Keith Evans (Beverley); daughter, Kimberly E. Hall (Rodney); three granddaughters, whom she absolutely adored, Heather Marie Card (Ryan), Brittany E. Howerton (Daniel), and Samantha Paige Hall (friend Michael); brother, Raymond A. Pace, Jr. (Connie); sister-in-law Linda E. Markel, and many nieces, nephews and friends. Catherine was a joy to all who knew her and will be greatly missed. The family will receive friends, Monday, July 23, 2018 from 4 – 8 pm at Monaghan Funeral Home, 7300 Creighton Pkwy., Mechanicsville, VA 23111, where a Celebration of Life Service will be held, Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at 11:00 am, with a reception immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Shalom Baptist Church, 7446 Adams Farm Rd., Mechanicsville, VA 23111.
