DARLINGTON, Jr., Burley H. “Buddy”- 89 of Warsaw, Virginia, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 4, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents, Burley H. Darlington, Sr., and Marie H. Darlington, and his beloved wife of 61 years, Jo Ann G. Darlington. He is survived by his daughters, Mary Frances Hebert (Mitch), and Kellie D. Vitale; his son, Mark Darlington (Teresa); three grandchildren, Mitchel Hebert IV, Matthew S. Hebert (Taylor), and Ann- Renee’ V. Deal (Zach); siblings, Wayne Darlington, Joan D. Miller (Donny), and Warren Darlington (Fran); and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Buddy was a member of the Knights of Columbus and a lifetime member of the NRA. He collected guns and enjoyed attending turkey shoots. He was an avid reader and studied everything there was to know about WWII. Buddy was an animal lover, especially of wolves and other wildlife. He was a devoted family man, devout Catholic, and enjoyed time spent with his family, especially at Christmas, which was his favorite holiday, and on family vacations. The family will receive friends from 2 – 4 and 6 - 8 pm, on Sunday, May 11, 2025, at Monaghan Funeral Home, 7300 Creighton Parkway, Mechanicsville, VA 23111. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, May 12, 2025, at St. Timothy’s Catholic Church, 413 Timothy Lane, Tappahannock, VA 22560. Interment will follow at Washington Memorial Park at 3 pm.
