Adams, Jr, Bruce Wayne – 36 of Mechanicsville, VA entered the Glory of the Lord that he pursued with such passion in this life, Thursday, August 10, 2023. He is preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Helen Murphy “Nana”; grandmother, Betty Bunch; grandfather, Gary Sappington; and grandfathers, Herman Maddox “Pa”, and Whitfield Adams, Jr. He is survived by his devoted parents, Bruce Sr., and Mary Adams; brothers, Nathan, and Joseph Adams; grandmother, June Maddox; great grandpa, Joseph Murphy; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends. Bruce was a 2005 graduate of Lee Davis High School. He attended Richmond Technical Center where he excelled in Welding. He was an avid musician and played guitar, bass, drums, and keyboard. He enjoyed creating his own digital music, as well as fishing, camping, spending time with his friends and family, and the majestic beauty of the mountains. He had a kind and gentle spirit. His charm, wit, and sensitive nature won him friends everywhere he went. Bruce was exceedingly passionate, but his greatest passion was worship and being in God’s presence, and he loved sharing his passion for the Lord and ministering to all those he encountered. The family will receive friends from 10 – 11 am, Thursday, August 17, 2023, at Monaghan Funeral Home, 7300 Creighton Pkwy., Mechanicsville, VA 23111, with a funeral service to follow at 11 am. Interment will be held at 2 pm, at Westhampton Memorial Park, 10000 Patterson Avenue, Richmond, VA 23238. In lieu of flowers, donations in his honor can be made to The River Church Charles City Campus, 8824 Richmond Rd., Toano, VA 23168.
