HENLEY, Jr., Blanton H. “B.H.”, 76, passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents, Blanton, and Elmyra Henley. He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Shirley; sisters-in-law, Peggy Haun (Mike), and Debbie Mitchell (Randy); brothers-in-law, Billy Field (Janice), Ronnie Field, and Donnie Field (Cathy); and many nieces, nephews, and cousins, including his devoted friend Bill Satterwhite. B.H. honorably served his country from 1968 – 1970 in the US Navy Seabees Construction Forces. He retired in 1997 as a Lieutenant from Henrico County Fire Department after 23 years of faithful service. He was a Master Mason since 1977 (Lodge 10) and was a 32-degree Scottish Rite of Freemasonry since 1978. B.H. was a wonderful and loving husband. He was kind-hearted, generous, loved life and was the “Master of Detail”. He was always willing to help and support his family and friends. He could fix anything with his “magic hands”. His favorite hobby was his 1960 Chevy Biscayne, he called “Night Moves” after the song written by Bob Seger. This car was immaculate with all the perfection of B. H.’s touch. A crypt-side service will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at Greenwood Memorial Gardens, 12609 Patterson Ave., Richmond, VA 23238. In lieu of flowers, charitable gifts can be given to Hanover Humane Society, 12190 Washington Hwy., Ashland, VA 23005, or Henrico Firefighters and Families Charitable Fund, www.HFFCF.com. A special thank you to family and friends for the love and support during this difficult time. Rest in Peace my love, until we meet again.
