Betty Rocek Loyd

Betty Rocek Loyd, 75, of Mechanicsville, Virginia, passed away peacefully at her home on June 11, 2026.

Betty was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother affectionately known as “Nana,” and a cherished friend. She radiated warmth and kindness throughout her life, always putting the needs of her family and friends before her own. For nearly 40 years, she dedicated herself to CP Dean Sporting Goods, becoming a trusted and familiar face at each store she managed during her career.

Betty’s life was defined by her love for family, friends, and the game of baseball. A lifelong baseball fan, she could often be found cheering from the stands at a local field or watching a game from the comfort of her home. She also had a special place in her heart for her beloved dogs, Graci and Casey, who brought her years of companionship, comfort, and joy.

Her greatest joy, however, came from her grandchildren. Whether spending time with them in person or sharing a smile during a FaceTime call, Logan and Emma brought immeasurable happiness to her life.

She will be remembered for her selflessness, unwavering love, and the countless ways she put others first. Her kindness and generosity left a lasting impact on everyone who knew her.

In her final days, Betty was surrounded by the love and support of family, friends, and caregivers who brought comfort and peace to her and her loved ones. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to her caregivers, Ashley and Missi of Affinity Care of Virginia, as well as the entire Affinity Care team, for their compassionate care and support.

Betty is survived by her loving husband, Richard Loyd; her son, Michael Loyd, and daughter-in-law, Amanda Loyd; and her beloved grandchildren, Logan and Emma Loyd.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
