Barbour Franklin Herring III

HERRING, Barbour F. “Skeater”, 79, of Mechanicsville, VA went to be with the Lord, Thursday, August 16, 2018. He is survived by his devoted wife of 44 years, Margaret Herring; 3 children, Daniel Atcheson (Ramona), Christina Maxon (Edward), and Barbour Herring (Jolynn); 10 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and many nieces nephews’ cousins and friends. “Skeater” was a US Army veteran, member of the Washington area Softball Hall of Fame, and an active member of the Church of the Redeemer. The family sends a special thank you to Robert Atcheson; and to Stacy Scott and Dr. Tamera Barnes of Capital Caring Hospice. A Mass of Resurrection will be held at 10 AM, Monday, August 20, 2018 at Church of the Redeemer, 8275 Meadowbridge Rd., Mechanicsville, VA 23116. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Capital Caring Hospice or Church of the Redeemer.
