Land, Ashley Lynn- 39, of Mechanicsville, VA passed away on December 1, 2025. She is preceded in death by her grandfather, Lawrence “Larry” M. Kersey III; grandmother, Betty C. Buck; great-grandmother, Elizabeth B. Lloyd; and uncle, “Matt” Lawrence M. Kersey IV. She is survived by her husband of 12 years, Justin Land and their two boys, Killian and Felix, and her beloved dog, Penny; parents, Dawn Johnson (Scott) and Allan Buck (Carol); brother, Devin (Lexi); grandmother, Virginia Sue Kersey; Paternal grandfather, Johnny (Chris); Step-grandparents, Greg and Char Johnson, and Harvey and LaRue Noel; Aunts, Dana Kersey & Great Aunt Nancy; Step-aunt and uncle, Kelly and John; cousins, Britany, Sam and Josie; mother and father in-law, John and Barbara Land; brother-in-law, Cody Land; and many other relatives and friends on both sides. Ashley loved to travel, crafting, and hosting holiday dinners. She did a lot of volunteering for charities around the Richmond area. She was a 2004 graduate of Lee Davis High School, and a 2008 graduate of VCU. Ashley loved rescuing animals and being a team leader at work. Her biggest blessings were her two boys and spending time with her family. A Celebration of Life will be held at 10 – 11:30 AM on Sunday, December 7, 2025, at Monaghan Funeral Home; 7300 Creighton Pkwy, Mechanicsville, VA. 23111. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Richmond SPCA.
