Anthony "Tony" James Iyoob

IYOOB, Anthony J. “Tony”; 61, of Mechanicsville, VA, passed away surrounded by loved ones on Thursday, March 12, 2020, after a lengthy battle with cancer. Tony was born on March 29, 1958, in Carbondale, PA. Throughout his entire life he held an unwavering faith in God which was never more evident than during the last few years battling cancer. 

Tony was preceded in death by his parents, James and Dolores Iyoob. He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Dawn Iyoob; his children, Maria and Matthew Iyoob; brother Dave Iyoob (Robin), sister Angela Stewart (Jeff); brother Jimmy Iyoob (Kelci); and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Tony loved spending time with his family and friends. He was an excellent public speaker which allowed him to excel at his career as a corporate trainer. He was also an avid Texas Hold’em player. Tony wanted us to celebrate his fulfilling life; He embraced each day as a gift and an opportunity to love others, to laugh, to cry and to make new friends.  He travelled to more than 40 states and fathered 2 beautiful children, his pride and joy.
