Angel Danilo "Danny" Cruz

Angel Danilo “Danny” Cruz, 86, passed peacefully on August 26, 2025. He was born on March 24, 1939, in Manila, Philippines, to the late Fortunato Cruz and Francesca Ladia.

Danny’s early years, traveling the world as a Merchant Marine, shaped his perspective and character. He eventually emigrated to the United States, became a U.S. citizen, and settled in Sanford, Maine. His dedication and strong work ethic earned him the respect of colleagues and friends over a 30-year career at Cyro Industries. Danny’s deep Catholic faith provided him with strength and guidance throughout his life.

Danny was preceded in death by his wife, Erlinda, with whom he shared many cherished years. After his retirement, he and Erlinda spent their golden years in Palm Coast, Florida.

He had six children from previous marriages: Ronaldo, Christian (deceased), Maricel, Mario, Marilet, and Angela. Known lovingly to his grandchildren as Lolo, he was the proud grandfather of 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him immense joy.

He is also survived by his sister, Dolores.

A service to celebrate Danny’s life will be held at a later date. Family and friends will be invited to gather in remembrance to honor the legacy he leaves behind.

Danny will be remembered for his love for his family, his kindness, and his faith, which left a lasting impact on all who knew him.
