Aycox, Aaron Alphonso “Triple A”, 65, of Mechanicsville, went home to be with family on June 13, 2025. He is preceded in death by his mother, Gloria Betty Overton; his second mother, Lydia Bernice Edgerson; his grandmother, Claire P. Napper; his paternal grandmother, Lorraine Reddish; and two brothers, Ronald Aycox Jr. and Daryl Aycox. He is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Miriam “Sweet” Aycox; father, Ronald Aycox Sr.; son, Aaron Alphonso Aycox 2nd (Laurice A. Bess); daughter, Miriam Areene Aycox; grandchildren, Stephanie Elizabeth Aycox and Damari M. Hardy; extended brothers, Michael and Robert Doss; and numerous other extended family members. Aaron proudly served his country in the US Navy for 11 years in Aviation Ordinance. He loved his HO racecars, trains, and his 10-speed bike. He was a huge family man who enjoyed spending time with them watching movies, listening to any type of music, and he never missed the chance to “cut a rug,” as he would say. To know him was to love him. A celebration of Aaron’s life will be held at 2 pm, July 8, 2025, at Quantico National Cemetery, 18424 Joplin Rd, Triangle, VA. 22172. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to either the Wounded Warrior Project or the MIA.
