Thomas Warren "Tom" Durvin, Sr.

DURVIN, Thomas W. “Tom” 88, of Mechanicsville, VA, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, January 16, 2019. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 60 years, Inge Durvin and his granddaughter, Melissa Durvin.  Thomas is survived by his sons, Thomas Durvin, Jr (Jane) and Ronnie Durvin; three grandsons, Justin (#1), Jeremy, and Joshua Durvin; six great-grandchildren; and his best friend Billy Wells. Thomas was a legend in the brickyard, the US Army and to his family. He passed his knowledge of history and bricklaying on to his sons and grandsons. He loved relic hunting and working on antique telephones. His greatest passion was time spent with his family.  He will be missed by all who knew him. The family will receive friends, Monday, January 21, 2019 from  4 to 7  pm at Monaghan Funeral Home, 7300 Creighton Pkwy., Mechanicsville, VA 23111, where a Funeral Service will be held, Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at 10 AM with Interment to follow at Washington Memorial Park.
