Sherrill Frederick "Shepp" Perry

PERRY, Sherrill Frederick “Shepp” -  80, of Old Church, VA. went to be with the Lord, Saturday, November 10, 2018. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 47 years, Dianne Marie Patricia Jennings Perry, and his parents, Chelsie Vernon Perry and Essie Mae Perry. “Shepp” is survived by his children; Misti Belle Perry Migliore, Tony Migliore, Frederick Michael Perry, and Christopher Robin Perry; 6 grandchildren, Chelsie Dianne, Julian Michael, and Lola Eva; 2 great-grandchildren, Journie Love and Jaylie Belle; and many other loved ones and friends. “Shepp” was a US Army veteran, devoted father and grandfather, who never met a stranger. He was brilliant, outgoing, and never saw the bad in anyone. He enjoyed a large variety of wines on special occasions, and cherished the moments spent with his whole family together.  He spent hundreds of hours volunteering in his community after retiring from 30+ years of service as a supervisor for CSX Railroad . “Shepp” loved horticulture and was a gifted, master gardener.  He was the best dad ever and will be greatly missed. The family will receive friends, Tuesday, November 13, 2018 from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 pm at Monaghan Funeral Home, 7300 Creighton Pkwy., Mechanicsville, VA 23111 where a Funeral Service will be held, 1 pm, Wednesday, November 14, 2018. Interment will follow at Hanover Memorial Park.
