Ruth Lanette (Kelley) Steinmann

STEINMANN, Ruth Kelley, 102, of King William, VA, daughter of Leslie Frank and Erma Lipscomb Kelley, peacefully entered eternal rest on Friday, October 12, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Ernest Steinmann, Sr.; a son, James E. Steinmann, Jr.; brothers, Franklin Bradley Kelley and Lewis Milton Kelley. She is survived by a large, loving family of five generations: daughters, Carole S. Shepherd and Sonya B. Blommel and a son, Roy Bradley Steinmann, all of Mechanicsville; 9 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great- grandchildren. “Grandma Roof” lived her life in service to others, always sacrificing her own interests, time and resources, to come to the aid of family members and friends in need. Many lives were touched and were blessed to share so many happy years with her. The family will receive friends at Monaghan Funeral Home, 7300 Creighton Pkwy., Mechanicsville, VA on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at 2:00 pm, with a service to immediately follow at 3:00pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial contribution to Bethlehem Lutheran Church (Richmond), McKendree United Methodist Church (Manquin, VA) or Ragland Memorial Baptist Church (Goochland, VA). A private Interment will be held immediately following the service.
