BROOKS, Rosalind; was born in New York City on December 18,1959, the cherished first-born child of Howard and Faye Harris. Born beautiful and blessed with a loving, humble and giving spirit, Rosalind was unconditional in her love and sacrifice for her siblings and her parents. Rosalind was also blessed with amazing talent and was selected to attend the prestigious High School of Music and Art in NYC. She later achieved her lifelong goal of earning a medical degree as a Pediatric Nurse. On January 19,1985, Rosalind gave birth to her son, Milo Alston Jr. Rosalind considered his birth to be the greatest gift God could bestow upon her. Rosalind and her family moved to Richmond, Virginia in her early 20's and immediately was asked to join the nursing staff at Richmond Memorial Hospital; where she met her future husband and love of her life, Clarke Brooks. Rosalind and Clarke married on Christmas Eve, 2000 and remained totally devoted to each other; never leaving each other's side until Rosalind passed away on January 30, 2019.To say that Rosalind will be sorely missed is an understatement. She loved, was loved, and impacted the lives of all that knew her. All services will be private.
