Kathryn Elizabeth (Gibson) Sanderson

SANDERSON, Kathryn Elizabeth Gibson, 92, of Mechanicsville, VA, went to be with the Lord, Monday, May 7, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Berry Sanderson, and a son, Rex Sanderson. Kathryn is survived by her children, Kent Sanderson, Wende S. Fonvielle, and Ted Sanderson; 8 grandchildren, Chris Sanderson, Gabrielle Sanderson, Lisa Sanderson, Teresa Sanderson, Chad Sanderson, Taylor Sanderson, Isabelle Sanderson, and Catherine Sanderson; 4 great-grandchildren, Elise Sanderson, Olivia Sanderson, Will Tabakian and Alex Tabakian. Kathryn was a retired elementary school teacher. She loved all the children she taught. She also dearly loved her church and church family, as well as, baking, gardening, and antiquing. She had a passion for refinishing furniture and was amazing at caning chairs. Kathryn was always loving and kind and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, May 19, 2018, at 2:00 pm, at Bethlehem Presbyterian Church, (Old Chapel) 2446 Old Church Rd. , Mechanicsville, VA 23111.
