John Albert Hope

HOPE, John A. 91, of Mechanicsville, VA went to be with the Lord, Monday, August 20, 2018. He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Audrey Hope, and his sons, John H. and Richard W. Hope. John is survived by his son; Michael L. Hope (Terry); daughter, Lynne Pauley; 4 grandchildren; Robert S. Pauley Jr., James K. Pauley, Andrew N. Pauley, and Jocelynn Knight (Josh); and a great-grandson Sebastian Pauley. John served his country in both the US Army and Air Force during WWII. He retired from the State of Virginia Department of Health after many years of service. He loved fishing and sharing his stories.
