James Alvin "Jimmie" Gray

GRAY, James Alvin “Jimmie”, 86, of Mechanicsville, VA went to be with the Lord, Monday, September 10, 2018. He was preceded in death by his mother, Louise Foster Gray; father, James W. Gray; and grandson, David H. Gray. Jimmie is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Catherine Gray; 4 children, Dennis Gray (Donna), Terry McMillan (Bobby), Sherry Brumbach (Jason), Stephen Gray (Melissa); 7 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren, and one brother-in-law, James (Butch) Allen (Hazel). Jimmie was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ, electrician, Owner of Gray Electric, and devoted family man. Anyone who knew him, knew he loved his family, and to talk and tell stories. The family will receive friends, Tuesday, September 11, 2018, from 4 - 8 pm, at Monaghan Funeral Home, 7300 Creighton Pkwy., Mechanicsville, VA 23111. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at Black Creek Baptist Church, 6289 McClellan Rd., Mechanicsville, VA 23111, with interment to follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Black Creek Baptist Church.
