Gary Wayne Martin

MARTIN, G. Wayne, 71, of Sandston, VA, found his peace with the Lord, Wednesday, July 11, 2018. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Betty Martin; mother, Pearl Frey; and father, Howard Martin. Wayne is survived by his son, Adam Martin (Kelly); sister, Sandra; brother, Sonny; nephews, Kevin, Jay and David; nieces, Shannon and Tracey; and his devoted fur baby, Cooper. Wayne was a US Navy, Purple Heart, Vietnam Veteran was a skilled gunsmith, and all-around American bad-ass. The family will receive friends, Thursday, July 19, 2018 from 12 - 1 pm, at Monaghan Funeral Home, 7300 Creighton Pkwy. Mechanicsville, VA 23111 with a Celebration of Life Service to begin at 1 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to your local AmVets chapter.
