Emily Virginia (Hobson) Bowyer

BOWYER, Emily V. Hobson, 80, of Henrico, departed this life, Wednesday, July 18, 2018. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar G. & Varion E. (Watkins) Hobson; and her siblings, Edgar Hobson Jr. & Marion Kattner. Emily is survived by her children, Robert J. Bowyer Jr. (Susan), James E. Bowyer, And Starlette B. Reynolds (Bobby); 5 grandchildren, Jessie (Ashley), Jerry (Sam), Robert, Shane, and Angelica; 5 great-grandchildren; Jay, Jessa, Jenna, Jaycee, and Ayla; and a brother, Branch L. Hobson. She retired from Henrico County after 41 years of service. Emily enjoyed 19 years of her retirement by spending time with her beloved family who were her greatest joy. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, July 28, 2018 at 11 am at Hopewell Baptist Church, 5061 Hopewell Rd., New Kent, VA 23124. There will be a reception immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Henrico Volunteer Rescue Squad, 5301 Huntsman Rd., Sandston, VA 23150.
