Edith Regina Oliver

OLIVER, Edith Regina, “Reggie”; passed to her heavenly home on July 17, 2019. She was preceded in death by her parents, Margaret and Paul Robbins, and her beloved husband of 63 years, Richard Oliver. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Forbes (Jim), sons, David (Valerie) and Stephen (Kathy) Oliver; granddaughters Tamara Hyde, Rebecca Babilon (John), Carrie Callas (Steven), Kristen Holley (Joshua); grandsons Robert (Becca) and joel (Celeste) Forbes, Eric (Stephanie), Matthew (Jane), and Nicholas (Amber) Oliver, and 11 great grandchildren with another on the way. She was born and raised in Cortland County, New York where she graduated from St. Mary’s High School. She worked as a waitress for many years, later managing a laundry, and retiring from there to Phoenix, AZ. Upon the loss of her husband, she returned to the east coast. Known as “Reggie”, “Nanna”, and “Grandma”, she will long be remembered for her knitted and crocheted afghans and her delightful Christmas tea rings. She leaves happy memories of card games, dancing, and enjoying the water for her family to cherish. A Mass of Resurrection will be held 11 am on July 27, 2019 at the Catholic Church of the Redeemer, 8275 Meadowbridge Rd. Mechanicsville, VA 23116.
