Jessica Michelle (Thompson) Banuelos

Banuelos, Jessica Michelle (Thompson), went to be with Lord on January 29, 2023, with her family by her side at home in Aylett, VA.

Jessica is the beloved daughter, of Michael and Carla Thompson; the loving wife, of Alejandro Banuelos; devoted mother, to Lily, Ramone, Joseph, and Raewyn. She is also survived by a sister, April Elliott; brother, Mitchell Thompson; and her grandmother, Maxine Thompson.

Jessica graduated from Apple Valley High School, Apple Valley, CA, and attended Full Sail University with a major in Music Production. Jessica’s passion for songwriting, and love for people, equipped her to encourage others through music, especially women. Jess spread the light of Jesus to many and gave hope and encouragement through song.  Jess knew the secret to unending optimism and generously spread joy and rays of sunshine in the lives of those who knew her. Her gift was to help others fall deeper in love with Jesus. She was grace and joy wrapped up in an infectious smile and beautiful shining eyes.

The family will receive friends from 11 am – 12:30 pm, Friday, February 3, 2023, at Monaghan Funeral Home, 7300 Creighton Pwky., Mechanicsville, VA 23111, with funeral services starting at 12:30 pm. Interment will follow at Signal Hill Memorial Park. A Celebration of Life reception will be held at the Hanover Tavern following the interment services. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to either VCU Children’s Hospital of Richmond, Bon Secours Hospice, or directly to the Banuelos Family via Venmo @Banuelos5591.
