Margaret (Armistead) Williams

WILLIAMS, Margaret Armistead, 84, of Old Church, VA departed this life, Friday, May 4, 2018. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 55 years, Bert A. Williams; a son, Keith J. Williams; and her parents Charles William Armistead Jr. and Lena Smith Armistead. Margaret is survived by her daughters; Christine Evans, Dale Germain, Kay Crawford (Robert); sons Dean (Susan), Mark (Cheryl), and Michael (Elizabeth) Williams; 9 grandchildren, Barry Collins (Rachel), Chad Collins (Ann), Holly Morris (Matt), Robbie Crawford, Mary Crawford, Austin Williams, Caleigh Williams, (Fiancé Troy), Carlee Williams, and Amber Allen (Dan); 9 great-grandchildren; Kody, Colten, Faith, Mason, James, Caleb, Katelyn, Hayden, and Dalyne. Margaret had an artistic soul and could have been a professional artist, but she found a greater passion in being a mother to her seven children and devoted her talents to making lasting memories with her family. The family will receive friends, Monday, May 7, 2018 from 6-8 pm at Monaghan Funeral Home, 7300 Creighton Pkwy. Mechanicsville, VA 23111. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held, Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at 2 pm at The Catholic Church of the Redeemer, 8275 Meadowbridge Rd., Mechanicsville, VA 23111. Interment will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Richmond following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations in her honor can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at Alz.org.
