NOAH, Pattie Frances Barley- 85, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, peacefully passed on to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, in Richmond, VA. Born May 10, 1938, in Richmond, VA to father, Alvin Mills and mother, Ruth Evangeline Barley. Pattie was known by all for her outgoing personality and never met a stranger. Pattie always made her presence known in every circumstance. She is survived by her husband, Donald Owens. Pattie had a prior marriage to Prince Edward Rich, Jr., where she is survived by her four children, Prince Edward Rich III (Clementine), Patricia Victoria Rich Johnson (Gary), Peter Rene Rich (Michelle), and the youngest, Penny Arline Rich. Pattie was blessed with a lineage of grandchildren, Prince Edward Rich IV, Rachel Nicole Rich, Nicholas Barley Rich, Austin Elijah Rich, and Sarah Rich; great-grandchildren, Donte Rich, Deon Rich, Nadia Rich, Aniya Rich, Aubrie Rich, Benjamin Rich, Joshua Rich, Prince Edward Rich V, Donovan Rich, and Isabella Rich, Pattie was blessed with enjoying experiences with boating, fishing, sailing, and traveling with family in RV’s, and she enjoyed bowling with her family and friends. Pattie’s past occupation involved being an Orthopedic Scrub Nurse at MCV hospitals. She also worked in retail management and the pharmaceutical industry and served as clerical staff at Virginia Blood Services until her retirement. Pattie established many relationships with colleagues and friends because of her outgoing personality. In her later years, she loved sharing her experiences and faith in God in reflecting her love for other’s needs and struggles. She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends. A Celebration of Life will be held at noon, on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at Monaghan Funeral Home, 7300 Creighton Pkwy., Mechanicsville, VA 23111 with a reception to follow in the funeral home lounge.
