David Eric Burnett, Jr.

BURNETT, Jr., David “Eric”- 39, of Mechanicsville, VA went to be with the Lord, on March 26, 2024. He was preceded in death by his father, David Burnett, Sr.; his paternal grandparents, Eddie Mason Burnett, and Betty Burnett; and his maternal grandfather Edwin D. Mundy.  He is survived by his children, Destiny Burnett, and Owen Burnett; his mother, Wanda Burnett; his sister, Nicole “Nikki” Goddard (Bobby); maternal grandmother, Nellie Mundy; his aunts, Pam Morrison (Edwin), Valerie Parker, Diane Smith, and Susan Bennett (Ken); his uncles, Glen, Wayne (Allene), and Danny Burnett; and many beloved cousins and friends. Eric was a charming, kind-hearted man, with a great sense of humor, who loved his family and his dog, Bella. He enjoyed fishing, music, working out, gardening, baseball, and hanging out with friends and family. He was an amazing artist and chef, and a loving and devoted father, brother, and son.  He was loved by his family and will be deeply missed. The family will hold a Celebration of Life to be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mental Health America at MHAnational.org.
