Carter Lee Hill, Sr.

HILL, Sr., Carter L – 69 of Henrico, VA went home to be with the Lord, on Sunday, March 17, 2024. He was preceded in death by his son, Carter Hill, Jr., and his father, James Hill. Carter is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Linda H. Hill; his daughters, Amanda Hill Wyatt, and Megan Hall; a grandson, Braxton Carter Wyatt; his mother, Wrena Hill; a sister, Cynthia Rosen; and many other family and friends. Carter was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was deeply dedicated to his faith in God and his church family. He was a Paul Harris Fellow in the Rotary Club, and the state chairman for MADD for many years. Carter loved the outdoors and had many active hobbies including scuba diving, riding motorcycles, and flying planes. He was a friend to all and was always ready to help those in need. He will be greatly missed. The family will receive friends from 5:30 – 8 pm, Sunday, March 24, 2024, at Monaghan Funeral Home, 7300 Creighton Pkwy., Mechanicsville, VA 23111, and again from 1 – 2 pm, Monday, March 25, 2024, at Apostolic Christian Church, 3800 Charles City Rd., Richmond, VA 23231, with a funeral service will follow at 2 pm. Interment will follow at Washington Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations in his honor can be made to the American Cancer Society.
